About (CRCAD)

The Corporate Relations and Career Advancement Division (CRCAD) is dedicated to fostering strong, sustainable partnerships with the corporate sector and civil society — both in India and internationally.

Its primary mandate is to actively engage with industry leaders, business associations, policy bodies, and other stakeholders to build mutually beneficial relationships. These collaborations are designed to create meaningful linkages between the Institute and the business world, ensuring that IIFT remains closely aligned with industry trends, expectations, and emerging opportunities.

A key focus of CRCAD is to facilitate the smooth and impactful induction of students from IIFT’s flagship MBA (International Business) Full-Time Programme and MBA (Business Analytics) Full-Time Programme into the corporate world. This is achieved through structured corporate engagements, live projects, industry immersion programs, and regular corporate interactions.

The student–industry engagement process begins with the Summer Internship Program, conducted at the end of the first academic year. During the months of April, May and June, students intern with leading organisations for a period of eight to ten weeks. This is an integral component of the curriculum, providing them with first-hand exposure to business practices, industry dynamics, and professional work culture.

This engagement continues with organisations from India and abroad visiting IIFT between December and February each year to offer career and job opportunities across diverse sectors, functions, and geographies. IIFT has a proud legacy of 100% recruitment success, a testament to the rigorous process that balances academic excellence with robust industry exposure. This legacy underscores the Institute’s commitment to producing graduates who are both theoretically sound and practically adept.

Through these initiatives, CRCAD plays a pivotal role in ensuring academia and industry collaboration — enabling students to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges and ensuring recruiters gain access to highly skilled, industry-ready talent.

Greetings from CRCAD (Corporate Relations and Career Advancement Division) of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade-IIFT, Kolkata Campus!

IIFT's journey began in New Delhi and has since spread its branches to Kolkata, Kakinada, and GIFT City. At the heart of IIFT's brand philosophy lies the 'One IIFT' mantra — weaving every student, alumnus, faculty member, and staff member into a single, shared thread of identity. As per the directives outlined in the Institute's statute and established policy, the IIFT actively upholds and implements the 'One IIFT' policy. It is announced on the official IIFT website that "All campuses of IIFT operate under the same academic, administrative, and quality assurance frameworks. The International / National rankings of IIFT are applicable uniformly across all campuses of IIFT."

IIFT Kolkata campus is now 20yrs old, a well-established off-campus of IIFT New Delhi. The students who are currently enrolled at the IIFT Kolkata campus are an integral part of the unified IIFT, and they possess exceptional brilliance and high competence in effectively addressing the challenges presented by the corporate world.

With the objective of achieving greater operational simplicity and improved effectiveness, the CRCAD of the IIFT Kolkata campus takes independent charge of administering the entire placement procedure for the students enrolled at the Kolkata campus. The primary goal of the CRCAD at IIFT Kolkata is to nurture substantial partnerships between industry stakeholders and students, which will assist your company in discerning and obtaining the most fitting talent.
